1. Who we are
RAGTIME is a service operated by R&D STREAMS ("RAGTIME", "we", "us"). R&D STREAMS is the data controller for personal data processed through RAGTIME. Contact: privacy@ragtime.live.
2. Data we collect
- Account data: email address, display name, authentication identifiers (including Google OAuth identifiers if used).
- Content you upload: the documents you supply to build your companion, and metadata about them (filename, size, tags, dataset version).
- Companion configuration: persona, description, language, retention preferences.
- Build and usage data: build jobs, logs, error messages, timestamps, IP address, browser and device information necessary to operate and secure the service.
- Support communications: messages you send us.
- Billing identifiers: subscription and customer identifiers returned by Paddle. Payment card and billing details are collected directly by Paddle — we do not receive or store your card number.
3. Why we use it (purposes and legal bases)
- Provide the service — creating your account, storing your documents, compiling APKs, streaming build logs. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
- Security and fraud prevention — abuse detection, rate limiting, audit logs. Legal basis: legitimate interests in keeping the service safe.
- Support and communications — replying to you, and sending transactional emails such as trial-ending reminders and billing notices. Legal basis: performance of a contract and legitimate interests.
- Legal and tax compliance — records required by law. Legal basis: legal obligation.
- Product improvement — aggregate, non-identifying usage analytics. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
Uploaded documents are used only to build your companion and are not used to train shared models.
4. Who we share data with
- Paddle — our Merchant of Record for payments, subscription management, tax compliance, and invoicing.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers — cloud database, object storage, and email delivery providers that process data on our behalf under contract.
- Build infrastructure — the compilation worker that turns your documents into an APK, operated by R&D STREAMS.
- Professional advisers — legal and accounting advisers, where necessary and confidentiality applies.
- Authorities — where we are legally required to disclose.
We do not sell personal data.
5. International transfers
Some of our providers may process personal data outside your country of residence, including outside the UK/EEA. When we transfer personal data internationally we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.
6. Retention
We keep account and companion data while your account is active. Build logs and compiled APK artifacts follow the retention windows you configure per companion. Billing records are retained for as long as legally required. When data is no longer needed for these purposes, we delete or anonymize it.
7. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or port your personal data, to object to certain processing, to withdraw consent, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. To exercise these rights, email privacy@ragtime.live. We aim to respond within one month.
8. Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, row-level security on our database, and short-lived signed URLs for downloads. No system is completely secure; report suspected issues to security@ragtime.live.
9. Cookies
RAGTIME uses cookies and similar technologies that are essential for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Paddle may set cookies during checkout as described in its own privacy notice.
10. Changes
We may update this notice. Material changes will be communicated in the app or by email.
